Paging Doctor Cloud! Amazon HealthLake Is Now Generally Available

#artificialintelligence

At AWS re:Invent 2020, we previewed Amazon HealthLake, a fully managed, HIPAA-eligible service that allows healthcare and life sciences customers to aggregate their health information from different silos and formats into a structured, centralized AWS data lake, and extract insights from that data with analytics and machine learning (ML). Today, I'm very happy to announce that Amazon HealthLake is generally available to all AWS customers. The ability to store, transform, and analyze health data quickly and at any scale is critical in driving high-quality health decisions. In their daily practice, doctors need a complete chronological view of patient history to identify the best course of action. During an emergency, giving medical teams the right information at the right time can dramatically improve patient outcomes.

AWS Marketplace makes it easier to find solutions from the AWS Console

#artificialintelligence

AWS Marketplace, a curated digital catalog with over 4,800 solutions, announced a feature that makes it easier for you to find relevant third-party solutions directly in the AWS console. Now, third-party solutions from AWS Marketplace are automatically filtered and listed in the left hand navigation panel based on the AWS service console you're in. This means that you see only Machine Learning models and algorithms in the Amazon SageMaker console. You can also use the new search bar or filtering options to look for specific solutions without leaving the console.

Predicting the Future, Amazon Forecast Reaches General Availability

#artificialintelligence

In a recent blog post, Amazon announced the general availability (GA) of Amazon Forecast, a fully managed, time series data forecasting service. Amazon Forecast uses deep learning from multiple datasets and algorithms to make predictions in the areas of product demand, travel demand, financial planning, SAP and Oracle supply chain planning and cloud computing usage. While Amazon Forecasts leverages machine learning within its service, users of the service do not require machine learning expertise. Amazon Forecast was originally announced at re:Invent 2018 and is now available for production use via the AWS Console, AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) and AWS SDKs. The service was conceived as a result of customer demand, since Amazon has extensive experience in forecasting for their own lines of business.
